Mawasalat Achieves Record Numbers in Passenger Transport During Eid Al-Adha Holiday
Mawasalat, a member of Asyad Group, announced that it achieved record numbers in the number of passengers during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. The company transported more than 78,000 passengers via its bus services and over 2,700 passengers through its ferry services. On the second day of Eid, the company managed to transport more than 19,000 passengers using its bus service.
Mawasalat also revealed that it transported more than 771 vehicles and over 44.5 tons of goods through its ferry service. These figures highlight the vital economic and social role the company plays in meeting the transport needs of citizens and residents throughout beloved Oman.
The company pointed out that Route 1 (Ruwi – Al Mabela) in the bus service was the most used during this period, transporting over 14,000 passengers. The route (Shannah - Masirah) in the ferry service was the most popular, carrying over 2,000 passengers.
